Amanda was introduced to sewing as a young child by her quilting grandparents and inherited one of their prized sewing machines and a dresser full of fabric. She has created many projects, from quilts to child ponchos and now, non-surgical masks. Sewing in the evenings after her two littles are in bed, she has made masks for family, friends, neighbors and many local donation efforts. Sewing for TMM has been rewarding, offering a tangible way to help others during this time. It had been a while since she had sat down at the sewing machine, but sewing again has brought her some calm amidst the (controlled) chaos (along with running, and biking with her husband and kids around town on their cargo bike!).
